Rental Terms & Conditions

Please read these Rental Terms & Conditions carefully before placing a rental order with J&K Satellite Rental. By completing a rental booking, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Rental Period

• The minimum rental period is 7 days.
• The maximum rental period is 15 months.
• The rental period begins on the date the equipment is delivered or picked up and ends on the agreed return date.
• Extensions to the rental period must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled return date and are subject to availability.

2. Pricing & Payment

• Rental rates are charged on a per-day basis as listed on the product page.
• Full payment (or deposit, where applicable) is required at the time of booking.
• Prices are listed in USD.
• Applicable taxes will be added at checkout based on your location.

3. Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit of US$690 is required at the time of booking.
• The deposit will be returned within 5–7 business days after the equipment is received and inspected.
• Deposits may be partially or fully withheld in the event of damage, loss, or late return.

4. Option to Purchase

If you decide to keep the equipment at the end of your rental, your security deposit will be applied toward the purchase price and the unit will be unlocked for your permanent use. Simply let us know and we'll take care of the rest.

5. Shipping & Delivery

• Equipment is shipped via FedEx with full tracking. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
• A prepaid FedEx return shipping label will be included with your rental kit.
• J&K Satellite Rental is not responsible for delays caused by FedEx or any other carrier.
• The renter is responsible for ensuring the equipment is properly packaged for return.

6. Equipment Care & Responsibility

• The renter is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until it is received back by J&K Satellite Rental.
• Equipment must be used in accordance with Starlink's guidelines and not subjected to misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
• Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will be assessed and charged to the renter.
• Lost or stolen equipment will be charged at full replacement value.

7. Returns

• Equipment must be returned by the agreed return date using the provided prepaid FedEx label.
• Late returns will be charged at the standard daily rental rate for each additional day.
• All original accessories and packaging must be included with the return.
• When your rental period ends, just send back the Starlink Mini terminal and any accessories that came with it. You're welcome to keep it for up to 15 months! Want to keep the connection going? We can reactivate your unit so you won't have to pay for shipping again. And once we receive it back, your deposit will be returned to you.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 72 hours of the rental start date may be subject to a cancellation fee.
• No refunds will be issued once the equipment has been shipped.

9. Liability

• J&K Satellite Rental is not liable for any loss of data, business interruption, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the rented equipment.
• Starlink internet service availability and speeds are subject to SpaceX/Starlink network conditions and are not guaranteed.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
